Welcome to Chris’s Dishes – I’m Chris.
Originally from Southern California, I proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years, beginning my military career at the age of 18. Throughout my service, I held roles in both the Infantry and the Military Police Corps, completing six combat deployments—two in Iraq and four in Afghanistan.

Like many Veterans, transitioning to civilian life came with challenges, particularly in finding purpose, peace, and a renewed sense of service. Driven by a desire to continue serving others in a meaningful way, I turned to one of my greatest passions: food. With the unwavering support of my wife, I enrolled in a local culinary school, where I trained in both savory and pastry arts.

I’ve had the privilege of working at the French Ambassador’s Residence in Georgetown, catering for the Ambassador and distinguished guests, as well as at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., where I crafted refined dishes for prestigious events such as Bastille Day and the Beaujolais Wine Fête.  I also support special events at Blair House, preparing American cuisine for foreign dignitaries visiting the President of the United States.
